From Co-Author Jaye Smith:

I came across this article, “The Joy of Quiet” in the New York Times recently after recovering from eye surgery. The article speaks to my experience of having just had a quiet reflective time, that nurtured my soul and body.

I am someone, like you, who usually has three or four things to do within the same time slot. I am mindful of the need to reboot and try to do it frequently and consistently. This article took me to another level of mindfulness. My eye surgery forced me to stop and lay down for a week and not drive for three weeks. My routine had to change. It was insightful to see that by changing how I operated each day, and have quiet time, that I discovered so many other things about myself, my body and the way I was operating.

Read the article and take a deep breath, and take quiet time for you.
