“The retreat gave me affirmation and support that I am on the right track.”
“I got out of the retreat everything I wanted to get out of it.”
“I got the practical tools for making my Reboot Break happen!”
“I loved the openness, listening, participation of everyone, plus the realistic recommendations from the facilitators.”
These were some of the happy reflections after the Sun Valley Reboot Your Life retreat, June 1-3, 2011. As with all of our Reboot Your Life retreats, this one was fun and full of fellowship, as the participants planned their Reboot Breaks. Some were already on sabbatical. Others actually set a date to start. Everyone worked hard, shared, laughed, and found new insights. The participants especially liked the small group atmosphere and opportunity to explore issues one-on-one.
Some of the insights were a surprise, as was the weather. It was an especially crisp early June, but it was always beautiful outside and interesting inside. We had a particularly beneficial discussion of health and wellness, realizing its enormous importance. One participant observed that taking a break can be a matter of life and death.
Everyone resolved to cut stress and exercise more. This was in the context of a life better balanced during and after a Reboot Break, with more time for self, family and other connections, and new experiences. Work can be important, but taking a break from it to come back healthier and renewed can be a life-altering event. You might get to know yourself better – or get back to your real self, find your next vocation, go volunteer in Brazil, or figure out what you want to do in retirement.
The next retreat is in Santa Fe, New Mexico, August 3-5 followed by Sag Harbor, New York, September 16-18. Join us!
